It was not a successful opening of the new Orlen station in Włocławek. At the end of October, a fatal mistake occurred there. Already in the first week of operation, diesel oil was added to the Pb95 unleaded petrol tank – informs the “Dzień Dobry Włocławek” website. Injured drivers can report using the third party liability insurance claim form on Orlen's website.

According to Mateusz Witczyński, spokesman for Orlen, quoted by the local website, a mistake occurred while filling the fuel tanks, as a result of which a small amount of diesel oil was added to the tank with unleaded, 95-octane gasoline.
Immediately after the error was discovered, fuel sales at the station were to be immediately stopped and the tank was to be cleaned. However, it is not known how many drivers managed to fill up with gasoline “baptized” with diesel. As suggested by the “Dzień Dzień Włocławek” website, there may be a lot of drivers who unknowingly poured the wrong fuel into the tank. Station at ul. Kapitulna in Włocławek was opened in the second half of October, and a costly mistake happened to the staff already in the first week of operation.
Candles and catalytic converter need to be replaced? Report to Orlen
According to the owners of cars refueled at Orlen, the problems began to manifest themselves after a few days. At that time, neither the company's representatives nor this particular station reported the incident.
A mistake and the resulting failures can be very costly. Although adding unleaded petrol to a diesel engine would have worse consequences for car owners, the situation that occurred at the Orlen station in Włocławek may lead to damage to fuel filters, catalytic converters and spark plugs.
So what should we do if we filled up with the wrong fuel through no fault of our own? According to Mateusz Witczyński, the incident can be reported via the third-party liability insurance damage form on the website: dziennik.orlen.pl in the “Reports/Complaints/Complaints” tab or by phone at the following numbers: 801 167 536 and 502 167 536.
However, claiming reimbursement for repair costs will require presenting a receipt – either on paper or in the application.
