The newspaper “Birobidzhan Star” (12+) of 1948 on November 3 wrote in the section “Around the City and Region” that a “motorcycle circle” was organized at the Birobidzhan Regional School of Cultural Education (now the Birobidzhan Regional College of Culture and Arts).
20 students attend classes; not only boys, but also girls study. After training, future motorcyclists will receive a motorcycle driving license.

The same newspaper writes that on the collective farm. Zhuravleva, Stalinsky district (now Oktyabrsky district), gardening is well developed. Here's how the newspaper wrote about it:
This year, the collective farm again harvested a large harvest of fruits and berries and received a net profit of 30 thousand rubles. In addition, 200 kilograms of jam were prepared from some of the plums and currants, which is also intended for sale.”
The same section also describes about young medical workerswho, after graduating from the Birobidzhan paramedic-midwife school, joined the ranks of paramedics in the region. Under the headline “Young doctors at work,” the newspaper informs readers:
Paramedic comrade Severina, who was educated at the Birobidzhan medical school, now works as the head of a medical center in the village of the Ushumun mine, comrade Durachenko was sent to the collective farm named after. Dimitrova. The new first-aid post on the Emes collective farm is headed by a young paramedic, Comrade Romanova. Most young medical workers work conscientiously, devote all their strength to their favorite work and have already earned the love and respect of collective farmers.
The same newspaper also wrote on the construction of new houses for displaced peopleon the training of new qualified personnel for fishing cooperation.
On November 3, 1948, the newspaper wrote that in the village Babstovo, Leninsky district, opened a new teahouse:
The tea room always has a large selection of hot and cold dishes. There is a varied range of fresh fish products supplied by our own fisheries.”

The founding conference (12+) of the Association of Young Teachers of the Jewish Autonomous Region in Birobidzhan took place at the MOST center.
The conference participants formed the leadership of the association and put forward a number of ideas for subsequent implementation.
We decided to implement activities aimed at consulting and helping young teachers to successfully adapt to school, to realize the capabilities and talents of teachers, and to organize their socially useful activities.
An important event of the meeting was the launch of the “Change Life for the Better” grant competition (12+), aimed at supporting social initiatives of young teachers.
The project was established by Rostislav Goldstein, a member of the Federation Council of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation, with a total grant fund of 300 thousand rubles.
