Over time, the sole of the iron is covered with a dark plaque, steamed starch or fabric residues. He clings to things, leaves traces and spoils even clean clothes. Many try to scrape with a knife, rub with abrasives or buy special products. But you can clean the iron quickly, safely and without damage.
Turn on the iron and heat it to the average temperature so as not to overheat it. Take a melamine sponge and moisten slightly with water. Gently wipe the sole with circular movements. Do not press hard, Melamin works yourself, without effort.
After a few minutes, all the dirt disappears. After cleaning, turn off the iron, wipe dry with a clean rag.
If the sole is very contaminated, you can add a drop of vinegar to the sponge, this enhances the effect. But most often one water is enough.
You can also use a mixture of salt and citric acid. Pour a thin layer onto the paper, turn on the iron on the average heating and spent several times on the salt. She gently polishes the sole and remove the remains.
After cleaning, reward a piece of old fabric to make sure that nothing remains.
Do this every 2-3 weeks, and the iron will look like new.
