Today, November 1, the Krasnoyarsk Drama Theater named after A. S. Pushkin celebrates its 150th anniversary. Governor Mikhail Kotyukov spoke about this on his Telegram channel.
The head of the region reminded Krasnoyarsk residents that the first theater building was built of wood on the site of the modern Lokomotiv stadium back in 1874, but it found its real home on Mira Avenue only in 1902. It was erected by the entire city and the new People's House Theater immediately became the center of cultural life in Krasnoyarsk.
“More than 220 people work here now. It is thanks to their work that today the Krasnoyarsk Pushkin Theater is one of the leading theaters in Russia. Six performances by Pushkin actors became nominees for the national theater award “Golden Mask,” noted Mikhail Kotyukov.
Not long ago, a large-scale reconstruction was completed at the drama theater; it was carried out in several stages with federal support. The troupe now has two new buildings, including a new stage and modern equipment.
Now artists have every opportunity to work in different genres and formats.
