a new public project has started in Krasnoyarsk / Society news of Krasnoyarsk and the Krasnoyarsk Territory / Newslab.Ru

On March 13, the opening of a new city public project “Creative Front” took place. Call sign – Krasnoyarsk.” Combat veterans of different years, their relatives, volunteers, and student groups performed on stage with monologue stories, songs and poems.
The mayor's office said that more than 200 people came to the event, 22 organizations took part in the project: military brotherhoods, home front volunteers and various foundations. The idea for the project was born in December last year. Then, at the site of the XXI Krasnoyarsk City Forum, a patriotic concert “The Living Word of History” was held, uniting public organizations and children's groups. A recording of this concert was sent to the soldiers in the Northern Military District zone as a New Year's greeting from the entire city.
“After the concert, we began to receive a lot of requests from people who, through poetry and songs, convey their emotions, tell stories of friends and family about a special military operation. There was a social need to express ourselves through creativity. The city administration supported the initiative and created conditions for uniting communities. As a result, our first launch event took place. We expect this project to live for a long time. People with similar interests will meet and create something new. In the summer, we will show a larger-scale program as part of the BRIGHT SHORE project, and the cycle will end again at the Krasnoyarsk City Forum,” said Yulia Gafarova, head of the project management department of the city mayor’s department.
The project was not conceived as a one-time event, but as a living, permanent platform. An opportunity for its participants to unite and find more like-minded people.
“This project has been brewing for a long time. There is a big demand from fighters for self-realization. Those who return from the front are ready to share their thoughts and experiences. Some people express this in poetry, others in songs. There will be several formats: musical, artistic, and theatrical performances. Professionals are ready to help: we already have agreements with the Pushkin Theater and recording studios. They will help you put on a voice and make a high-quality recording. It is very important that we have young people and veterans of local wars next to us,” said Alexey Gladyshev, first deputy chairman of the Union of Veterans of the Northern Military District of the Krasnoyarsk Territory.
Even those who do not engage in creativity in everyday life took to the stage. So Anna Stunzhaite, coordinator of the volunteer project “Golden Hands of an Angel,” acted in an unusual role for herself – a reader.
“For us, the Creative Front is also a way to help fighters. We support them not only in deed, but also in word. We write poems and songs. This also supports us, because it can be difficult emotionally. Every day we communicate with the guys from the front line, with their wives and mothers. My poem today is just about this. We sew in our workshop, and so many stories and meetings happen there, one of them turned into poetry,” shared Anna Stunžaite.
Alexey Starkov, a volunteer and member of the Northern Military District from Borodino, also took part in the evening. He chose for his speech a poem by Vladimir Vysotsky about the deceased pilot.
“I learned these lines a long time ago, even before all the events, but I truly understood and felt them only after I returned. When I was at the Northern Military District, we had, so to speak, a “musical company”: there was an accordion and a guitar. In our free moments we relaxed with a song. She was very helpful. Without a song, there’s nowhere,” said Alexey Starkov.
We would like to add that during the event, participants and spectators also wrote letters of support to the fighters. What made these messages special were the original postcards from Krasnoyarsk craftswoman, mother of many children, and public figure Mother Olga Yazeva. In addition, video greetings following the event will also be sent to the special military operation zone to remind how the children are welcomed and proud of them at home.
