A new river was put on the map of the Krasnoyarsk Territory

A new officially registered river with the name Dagachukan has appeared in the Evenki municipal district of the Krasnoyarsk Territory. The object contributedwhether to the catalog of geographical names of Russia after statements Rosreestrohm, the department reported.

The Dagachukan River is a left tributary of the Silakit River. Translated from the Evenki language, the name “Dagachukan” means “very close.”

The assignment of official status guarantees the use of the river's name in all government documents, maps and reference publications. As experts note, this makes an important contribution to the preservation of the ethnocultural heritage and unique geographical nomenclature of the Krasnoyarsk Territory.
