In the Krasnoyarsk Territory, by decision of the internal affairs bodies, five foreigners who committed serious and especially serious crimes were deprived of Russian citizenship. All of them are now serving their sentences.
So, two men 24 and 56 years old ended up in prison for intentional deprivation of the life of another person, two more, aged 44 and 54 years old, for crimes against sexual inviolability, and a 36-year-old for illegal production and sale of drugs.
“Currently, the police have confiscated passports of citizens of the Russian Federation from these individuals. After serving the assigned sentence, each of the convicts will be required to leave the country. In case of failure to comply with this order, coercive measures will be taken to remove offenders from Russia,” the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs said.
Let us recall that for the first time such a measure as termination of citizenship for committing serious and especially serious crimes was used in the Krasnoyarsk Territory in December 2023, later a couple of months after entry into force new federal law “On citizenship of the Russian Federation.”
