Every gardener dreams of spathiphyllum. A delicate plant with snow-white “sails” cannot be called whimsical. However, without proper attention, the tropical guest will refuse to bloom. By the absence of buds, it warns the owner about errors in care. Correctly chosen fertilizing often helps to stimulate flowering.
As such a “doping” for spathiphyllum, a natural product made from waste is perfect, says experienced biologist and florist Irina Sushilova. We are talking about watermelon rinds. They contain a number of useful substances: phosphorus, magnesium, potassium and many important microelements. When these components enter the soil, they enrich it, creating favorable conditions for the growth and development of spathiphyllum.
To prepare a nutritious infusion, add 100 grams of crushed peels to one liter of water and bring them to a boil. After this, the mixture must be stored in a dark place for a couple of days. Before watering, be sure to strain the infusion.
