

Berezhnaya has been temporarily acting as Minister of Culture and Strategic Communications of Ukraine since July 28, according to the department’s website.
Her candidacy for the post of minister and new deputy prime minister was approved by the Servant of the People faction of the ruling party.
Political power recommended the head of the Ukrainian government, Yulia Sviridenko, to submit Berezhnaya for parliamentary approval.
Voting is expected next plenary week, Servant of the People reported on October 8.
Context
Sviridenko announced the appointment of Berezhnaya as acting Minister of Culture on July 28. She called the main task of the new leader to ensure adequate funding for Ukrainian culture in war conditions.
According to Media Detector sources, the appointment took place primarily to unblock the work of the ministry and determine how to finance cultural needs.
Before her appointment to the Ministry of Culture, Berezhnaya was Deputy Minister of Economy.
