And from April 6 the traditional action will begin to restore cleanliness – a two-month spring event on improvement and gardening “For a clean city, a clean Siberia”b”. His main goal is to quickly put the city in order after the winter.

“Every week in all areas during these two months “sanitary Fridays” will be held. The actions will be organized by administrations of all districts during the two-month period. They are needed mainly to tidy up areas that for some reason are not included in the regular city cleaning plan. Cleaning will be carried out on river banks, in green areas, and in places where unauthorized dumps have formed. Volunteers will be recruited for this purpose. During the two-month period, monuments in the city will be washed, fountains will be prepared for launch, street furniture, road barriers, bus stops, traffic lights, road signs, etc. will be cleaned and repaired, etc. All enterprises and organizations that, as part of their duties, are engaged in maintaining city cleanliness will switch to a special mode of operation,” the mayor’s office said.
