European leaders greet the victory of the Maia Sandu party in the parliamentary elections of the Republic of Moldova

The Party Action and Solidarity (PAS) leads to the official partial count with over 50% of the votes, in front of the patriotic block, the formation of the pro-Russian opposition, which tightly less than half.

France welcomed the victory of the Party Action and Solidarity (PAS) in the legislative elections in the Republic of Moldova, which it considers to confirm a “sovereign choice” in favor of Europe, despite the “foreign mixing attempts” denounced during the election campaign, AFP reports, quoted by News.ro.

“Nothing stops a people who choose democracy and freedom. Not even the desperate attempts of foreign mixture,” writes X French Minister Jean-Noël Barrot.

French President Emmanuel Macron also welcomed the results of the election, “despite the mixture attempts and pressures.”

The head of the French state wrote, in French and Romanian, that “France is with (Republic) Moldova in its European project and its momentum of freedom and sovereignty.”

The European Union (EU) welcomed, through the president of the European Council, António Costa, the victory of the Proe -European camp, considering that it transmits a “strong and clear message”, despite the Russian mix.

And the President of the European Commission, Ursula von der Leyen, came with a first reaction after the results of the elections in the Republic of Moldova:

“Moldova, you succeeded again. No attempt to sow fear or division could defeat your determination. Your choice was clear: Europe. Democracy. Freedom. Our door is open. And we will be with you at every step. The future is yours,” wrote the head of X.

In Warsaw, the Polish prime minister welcomed the “courage” of the Moldovan people who “maintained the European Directorate”, after the victory of the Proe -European Party of Maia Sandu in the elections of the Republic of Moldova.

“Not only did you save democracy and maintain the European Directorate, but you blocked Russia in its attempts to take control of the whole region,” writes X Donald Tusk, emphasizing this “good lesson for us all.”

And the Ukrainian President Volodimir Zelenski wrote X on Monday that he spoke with his counterpart of the Republic of Moldova Maia Sandu to congratulate him for “an important victory”.

“These elections have shown that Russia's destabilizing activity loses, while Moldova in Europe wins. Russian subversion, constant misinformation-none of these has worked. It is important that Moldova has defended effectively against threats, along with all those who have helped it. We will always support us. Solid – in the field of security, economy and, therefore, in social life, ”Zelenski wrote on X.

On August 27, French President Emmanuel Macron, German Chancellor Friedrich Merz and Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk Marcau, in Chisinau, a “determined support” of the Republic of Moldova in order to access the EU against the “lies” and “mixtures” of Moscow.
