The first statement was issued by Prime Minister Canada, which means that this state was the first of the G7 countries, the informal group of the world's largest economic powers, which recognized the sovereignty of Palestine.

In a statement on the X Carney platform, he wrote that “Canada recognizes the Palestinian state and offers partnership in building a peaceful future for both the Palestinian state and the state of Israel.”

A moment later, the statement was issued by Albanese state that “Australia recognizes the justified and long -nurtured aspirations of the Palestinian nation to have its own state.”

“The President of the Palestinian Authority recognized Israel's law to exist and committed himself to Australia to conduct democratic choices and make significant reforms in the field of finance, management and education,” reads the communiqué. Australia belongs to the G20, which is an international forum gathering 19 key countries in the world as well as the European Union and the African Union.

Great Britain joins Canada and Australia

Prime Minister Keir Starmer announced on Sunday in a video statement that Great Britain recognizes the Palestinian state. He also announced the imposition of subsequent sanctions on the Hamas terrorist grouping.

– Today, in order to revive hope for peace and two -state solution, I declare clearly as the prime minister of this wonderful country that Great Britain formally recognizes the Palestinian state – said the head of the British government.

In addition to Canada and Great Britain, also France, belonging to G7, presented a plan to recognize Palestine's independence in July. He is expected to do it in the coming week during the 80th session of the UN General Assembly in New York. France is also a permanent member of the UN Security Council.

Germany and Italy are silent. Japan categorically refuses

Germany and Italy, which also belong to the G7 group, made it clear that they are not going to follow in their footsteps. Like other governments of European countries, they believe that the recognition of Palestine's sovereignty should be part of negotiations regarding the recognition of two -state.

Japan, wanting to maintain good relations with the United States, also does not intend to recognize Palestine. US President Donald Trump clearly opposes the sovereignty of the Palestinian state.

At the beginning of this week, the UN Remand Commission came to the conclusion that Israel had committed genocide in Palestinians in the Gaza Strip. Israel condemned this information as “distorted and false.”

The Israeli army began the offensive in the Gaza Strip in response to the Hamas attack on Israel on October 7, 2023, in which about 1,200 people were killed and 251 were taken as a hostage. As a result of the retaliation of the Israeli army, at least 65 141 Palestinians were killed.

The Ministry of Health controlled by Hamas announced that as a result of malnutrition and hunger as a result of the war in the Gaza Strip 435 people have died so far, including four between Friday and Saturday.

Palestine: NAn important step bringing us closer to our own country

The head of the Palestinian Authority of the Palestinian Authority Warsen Achabekjan said that the recognition of Palestine's statehood by subsequent countries is an irreversible step introducing the creation of an independent and sovereign Palestinian state. Great Britain, Canada and Australia recognized Palestine on Sunday. Israel and the USA are opposed to this decision.

– This recognition certainly is not symbolic. This is a practical, tangible and irreversible step that they must take you if they want to maintain a two -state solution, “said Achabekjan to journalists in Ramallah.

She added that this is a action towards Palestine's sovereignty and independence. Referring to Israel's war with Hamas in the Gaza Strip for nearly two years, she added that the recognition of Palestine's statehood will not end this conflict, but such decisions are the right approach that must be “continued and strengthened”.

Palestinian autonomy is an administrative structure co -managed by Israel with the west bank. Autonomy depends on the organization of the liberation of Palestine, recognized, among others by the UN for a representative of the Palestinian nation.

Already, over 140 countries formally recognize Palestine as a state. In practice, Palestine, however, does not have a uniform territory, coherent administration or control over borders.

Israel threatens and convinces “absolute reward for terror”

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu stated on Sunday that The creation of an independent Palestinian state threatens the interests of Israel And it is a “absurd reward for terror” Hamas. He announced that in the coming days Israel would react to the recognition of Palestine by subsequent countries of the world.

– We will have to fight at the UN forum and in all other places in front of the false propaganda and calls directed at our address and calls to create a Palestinian state, which would threaten our existence and constitute an absurd reward for terror – said Netanyahu before the Sunday meeting.

He announced that The international community “in the coming days” will know Israel's reaction. The prime minister added that during his speech planned for Friday before the UN General Assembly, “will present the truth”, which is not only Israel's raison, but also “the objective truth on the fair fight against the forces of evil and (Israeli – PAP) a vision of real peace – peace through strength.”

The current Israeli government is opposed to the emergence of the Palestinian state, which this nation would like to create in the Gaza Strip, the West Bank of Jordan and Eastern Jerusalem. The creation of independent Palestine is an element of the so -called two-state solutions that would end with the Israeli-Palestinian conflict. This approach is supported, among others by the UN, the EU, Arab states or Palestinian autonomy.

The west shore remains under Israeli occupation, but is co -minor by Palestinian autonomy. Eastern Jerusalem was annexed by Israel, which most of the worlds did not recognize. In the Gaza Zone for nearly two years, the war of Israel has been going on against Hamas who ruled this territory.

Currently, about 150 countries formally recognize Palestine as a state. In practice, Palestine, however, does not have a uniform territory, coherent administration or control over borders. Recognition of her statehood is a diplomatic gesture that does not change the situation of Palestinians.

The issue of the creation of the Palestinian state is complicated by the presence of over half a million Jewish settlers on the West Bank inhabited by about 3 million Palestinians.

In Israel, right -wing politicians call for annexing the West Bank or a significant part of it, arguing, among others historical reasons and security reasons.

Hamas: Time for practical activities

Hamas commented on the recognition of the Palestinian state by Great Britain, Canada and Australia as an important step for Palestinians, but called for “practical actions” against Israel. All three countries recognize Hamas as a terrorist organization and exclude its participation in creating an independent Palestine.

The group ruling Gaza has assessed that the Sunday decision of the three countries is an important step in confirming the law of Palestinians to their land and the establishment of an independent state with the capital in Jerusalem.

Hamas' statement added that these declarations must, however, be accompanied by “practical actions”, leading to the immediate end of the war in the Gaza Strip and stopping Israeli settlement on the west shore. The Islamist group also called on the international community and the UN to break cooperation with Israel.

– There will be no Palestinian state in areas west of the Jordan River – said Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu on Sunday. He repeated that the recognition of Palestine by Western states is the rewarding of Hamas terrorism. The prime minister announced that he would present an Israeli response to these decisions after returning from the USA. Netanyahu goes to the United States this week, among others to speak before the UN and meet with President Donald Trump.

Portugal for the independence of Palestine. “There are no more obstacles”

The government of the prime minister of Portugal Luis Montenegro will recognize Palestine's independence on Sunday – on Friday evening the office of the head of the Portuguese Ministry of Foreign Affairs Paulo Ranel passed.
