Vladislav Blănuță, a 24-year-old Romanian forward, appears to have regained his form in Poland’s second league following a disappointing stint at Dynamo Kyiv. The striker has joined Lechia Gdańsk on loan, and his initial performances have been promising.
Blănuță, formerly of Universitatea Cluj, has scored two goals in his last two league matches, becoming an essential player for his new team as they aim for promotion to the top tier.
His first goal came in a dominant 7-1 victory against Stal Mielec, where he netted the sixth goal of the match in the 76th minute, finishing a counterattack with a clever lob over the goalkeeper after receiving an assist from Kevin Dodaj.
Substituted in the 79th minute for Bakary Sonko, this marked Blănuță’s first goal with the Polish club.
On October 11, he made headlines again, helping Lechia secure a 2-1 away win over Stal Rzeszow by opening the scoring in the 36th minute. Danylo Beskorovainyi extended the lead four minutes later before Buksa scored for the hosts in the 77th minute.
Blănuță started the match and played until the 80th minute when he was replaced by Glogowski.
Following these results, Lechia Gdańsk accumulated 16 points, placing them fourth in the Polish second division. The top two teams earn direct promotion, while clubs finishing between third and sixth will compete in a playoff for the final promotion spot.
Blănuță Looks to Move Past Dynamo Kyiv Experience
Prior to his move to Poland, Blănuță faced challenges at Dynamo Kyiv, where he struggled to make his mark.
He made 11 appearances for the Ukrainian side, scoring just once. Interest in Blănuță was also shown by Dinamo București, with coach Zeljko Kopic advocating for his transfer, but discussions fell through as the Romanian club could not reach an agreement with the Ukrainian officials.
Blănuță previously enjoyed a successful spell at Universitatea Cluj, where he recorded 12 goals and four assists in 37 games, marking the best statistics of his career.
