Meta Responds to Report Claiming One-Third of Income from Fraudulent Ads

Meta has issued a response to a report released on Wednesday by the Instrat Foundation, which claims that more than one-third of the technology giant’s revenue in Poland is generated from fraudulent online advertisements. The company denounced the report as “fiction.”

In response to the report’s claims, Meta’s press office reiterated their ongoing efforts to prevent the distribution of deceptive advertisements.

On Thursday, Meta representatives were scheduled to appear before the parliamentary Digitization Committee to discuss the issue of fraudulent ads flooding social media. This widespread problem has affected many prominent figures in Poland, including InPost’s owner, Rafał Brzoska. However, according to “Rzeczpospolita,” Polish managers from Meta will not attend the parliamentary meeting.
