LAST TIME Trump claims Iran has agreed to “almost everything” and is considering going to Islamabad

US President Donald Trump said on Thursday that if an agreement is reached with Iran to end the war and it is signed in Islamabad, then he could travel there, stating that Tehran has agreed to “almost everything”, Reuters and AFP inform.

Trump struck an upbeat tone on Iran as he spoke to reporters on the White House lawn en route to a trip to Nevada and Arizona.

The Republican president said he could extend the U.S.-Iran truce, which is set to expire next week, but that he might not need to.

“If a deal is signed in Islamabad, I might go,” Trump said. “They want me there,” he added.

The White House leader also said, without providing evidence, that Iran had agreed to give up enriched uranium believed to have been buried by US and Israeli airstrikes last year. Trump is pushing for a deal with Iran in which Tehran gives up its nuclear program.

“They agreed to hand over the nuclear powder,” the US president told reporters, using the term he uses to refer to stockpiles of enriched uranium. “There's a very good chance we'll get a deal,” Trump added.

Donald Trump also announced earlier on Thursday that the Israeli and Lebanese leaders had agreed to a 10-day ceasefire starting at 17:00 local time (21:00 GMT). The US president said in a post on Truth Social that he had “excellent discussions” with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Lebanese President Joseph Aoun.

“These two leaders have agreed that in order to achieve PEACE between their countries, they will officially begin a ten-day Ceasefire at 05:00 PM Eastern,” Trump wrote, adding that he asked Vice President JD Vance, US Secretary of State Marco Rubio, and US Army Chief Dan Caine to work with the two countries to achieve a lasting peace.
