Mihai Stoica’s Telephone Call Disrupts FCSB During Match Break

During the halftime of the match between FCSB and FC Botoșani, which was tied at 1-1, the staff of the red and blue team faced disruptions. Mihai Stoica, the president of FCSB’s Board of Directors, was spotted speaking on the phone for 10 minutes. Meanwhile, bench players Lucian Filip, Alin Stoica, and Sorin Bucuroaia remained focused on their devices, likely awaiting instructions from owner Gigi Becali.
After the break, the red and blue team adjusted their formation, shifting to a two-center back setup after Valentin Crețu replaced Joyskim Dawa. This marked the end of the three-center back experiment, which Gigi Becali had previously touted as a strategy to make FCSB “invincible.”
FCSB’s Formation Changes
FCSB started the match in a 3-4-3 formation with: M. Popa – Batubinsika, Dawa, Duarte – Cisotti, J. Paulo, Radunovic, Pădurariu – Boutoutaou, Bîrligea, Fl. Tănase. In the 46th minute, they switched to a 4-2-3-1 formation with: M. Popa – Crețu, Duarte, Batubinsika, Pădurariu – Joao Paulo, Radunovic – Boutoutaou, Fl. Tănase, Cisotti – Bîrligea.
At the Arcul de Triumf stadium, Joao Paulo scored the opener in the 10th minute, but Andrei Dumiter equalized for the visitors in the 36th minute after a significant error by Joyskim Dawa. In a play starting from the defenders, Pădurariu passed to Dawa, who attempted to dribble Dumiter but lost possession. Dumiter capitalized on this mistake, scoring with a powerful shot from 12-13 meters. A video of the incident is available from Prima Sport 1.
