Orlen New Power has entered into sale agreements with Onde concerning the acquisition of stakes in two subsidiaries focused on renewable energy development, valued at approximately 437.2 million PLN, as reported by the company. The total capacity of the purchased assets amounts to 216 MW.
Onde, holding a 50% stake alongside entities from the Neo Energy Group, has finalized a transaction with Orlen New Power that involves the sale of 100% of the shares in the following subsidiaries:
- Solar Kazimierz Biskupi, which is ready to begin construction on a photovoltaic farm,
- KWE, which is also poised to start construction on a wind farm.
The base price will be paid in two installments: approximately 51.3 million PLN upon signing the sale agreement, and about 10.8 million PLN after both farms achieve Commercial Operation Date (COD), although these amounts may be subject to adjustments.
Additionally, the sellers may receive an extra compensation of up to 18 million PLN net, including 9 million PLN net for Onde, representing a share in the revenue from electricity sales during the commissioning period of both power plants.
In a separate press release, Orlen announced the completion of a purchase for a hybrid renewable energy installation project with a total capacity of 216 MW. Onde will serve as the general contractor, while the Neo Energy Group will oversee the construction process, and Energa Green Development will provide investor supervision on behalf of the Orlen Group.
The wind section of the complex will feature nine Vestas V136 turbines, each with a capacity of 4 MW. Construction work is scheduled to commence in the third quarter of 2026, with initial electrical connections expected by early 2028 and full commercial operation anticipated by the second quarter of 2028.
Kazimierz Biskupi will be another project from the Orlen Group developing a hybrid renewable energy model, which has already been tested in Greater Poland with the Kleczew Solar & Wind installation. The two investments are approximately 8 km apart, creating one of the largest onshore clusters of renewable energy sources in Poland, with a total capacity of 485 MW.
