Drone Attack Targets Major Russian Oil Complex in Bashkortostan

A drone attack was reported on the Gazprom oil refining facility in Salavat, located approximately 1,400 kilometers from the Ukrainian border. According to officials, air defense systems successfully intercepted the drones, resulting in no reported injuries.
“There are several hotspots of smoke due to debris from the downed drones. Emergency services have begun addressing the aftermath,” Governor Radiy Khabirov stated.
Meanwhile, the OSINT project Astra claimed that a fire broke out at the Gazprom Neft Salavat facility following the attack, which is recognized as one of Russia’s largest oil refining and petrochemical complexes. Video evidence purportedly captured by witnesses in the area supports this claim.
Astra’s analysis of the published footage also suggests that the Rosneft-Opt oil depot may have been targeted during the assault.
Salavat’s geographical position, about 1,400 kilometers from the Ukrainian front, has raised concerns about the security of critical energy infrastructure in the region.
