Erling Haaland, the 25-year-old Norwegian football star, has reached out to the family of Dennis Skjorestad, a six-year-old boy who tragically lost his life in a road accident in Norway at the end of June. The boy’s father shared a brief response on social media expressing gratitude for the support.
The tragic incident occurred on June 24 when Dennis was struck by a car in a residential area of Rogaland. Dennis was an avid fan of Haaland.

Approximately two weeks after the accident, Dennis’s family received a package from Haaland. It included a signed Norwegian national team jersey along with a handwritten note from Haaland and his family.
“As parents and siblings, it is impossible for us to imagine your situation. Please know that during this extremely difficult time, we are thinking of you. We learned that Dennis was passionate about football, which is why we wanted to send this to you,” the note read, according to reports.
Dennis’s father expressed deep appreciation for Haaland’s gesture, as well as gratitude towards family, friends, and local school staff. The impact of Haaland’s message was profound: “It sent shivers down our spines like we have never felt before. If Dennis were still here, he would be so proud. You, Erling, were his great idol. Thank you so much.”
