Taison (38 years old), former student of Mircea Lucescu at Shakhtior Donetsk, reacted after the death of the great “Il Luce”.

The Brazilian midfielder played under the command of Mircea Lucescu between 2013 and 2016, and is currently registered at PAOK, where he is coached by the son of “Il Luce”, Răzvan Lucescu.

The Brazilian midfielder posted several photos with Mircea Lucescu on his personal Instagram account, along with a message for the former great coach.

Mr. Mircea, I will always remember you for everything you have done for my life and for the lessons throughout my career. You were like a father to me. I will always remember you with that smile on your face.

Thank you for everything, my father. Thank you for allowing me to be a part of your family for so many years. I love you, Mircea Lucescu. Forever in my heart,” Taison wrote.

Mircea Lucescu brought Taison to Shakhtior in January 2013, bought from Metalist Harkov for the sum of 14 million euros.

Taison is currently a student of “Il Luce's” son Răzvan Lucescu at PAOK Thessaloniki. The Brazilian is now in his fourth season in Greece.

  • Throughout his coaching career, he trained Corvinul, the Romanian national team, Dinamo, Pisa, Brescia, Reggiana, Rapid, Inter, Galatasaray, Beşiktaş, Shakhtior, Zenit, the Turkish national team and Dinamo Kiev.

  • He won 36 trophies in his career as a technician: 9 times the championship of Ukraine, 8 times the Ukrainian Cup, 7 times the Ukrainian Supercup, 3 times the Romanian Cup, 2 times the Romanian championship, 2 times the Turkish championship, as well as the UEFA Cup, the European Super Cup, the Russian Super Cup and the Anglo-Italian Cup.
