Luis Phelipe (24 years old), the former player from FCSB, was officially introduced to Ponte Preta, in the second league in Brazil, a week after Valeriu Iftime declared that the winger would sign with Botoșani.
On January 23, the owner of FC Botoșani was sure that he would take Luis Phelipe, who played in League 1 at Poli Iasi and FCSB. But the Brazilian was not convinced and returned home, being loaned by Sheriff Tiraspol to Ponte Preta until the end of the season.

“Striker Luis Phelipe is Ponte Preta's new player for the 2026 season. Welcome,” the Brazilians wrote on Instagram.

Phelipe was officially introduced exactly one week after Iftime's announcement. “Luis Phelipe will arrive in Botoșani. We will negotiate and very likely we will also sign. Luis Phelipe will not be able to play in the match with Craiova University, but we rely on him for the rest of the season,” says Iftime, according to digisport.ro.
Luis Phelipe returned to Brazil with his family two and a half years after leaving his native country. In July 2023 he signed with Poli Iasi, but after half a year he was sold to FCSB.
He did not impress in the red-blue line-up and was released from contract in February 2025 when he signed with Sheriff. Now, he also left the club from Moldova.
Throughout his career, Luis Phelipe moved to the teams owned by the giant Red Bull: Bragantino and Salzbur. He was also registered at Liefering, Lugano, Atletico Goianiense, Nautico, Botafogo, Paysandu, Iasi, FCSB, Sheriff Tiraspol.
Luis Phelipe caught half a season each at FCSB in 2023-2024 and 2024-2025, so he has on his CV both titles won by the red-blues in the Superliga in the last seasons.
