Western Ukraine Referenced as ‘Malopolska’ by Polish Official
A representative from the Polish presidential office, Nawrocki, has referred to Western Ukraine as ‘Malopolska’. This statement emerged during discussions concerning Volhynia and the Ukrainian Insurgent Army (UPA). Between 1922 and 1939, the Polish government used the term ‘Eastern Malopolska’ to describe ethnic Ukrainian territories in Eastern Galicia.
