Russians now need at least 250 thousand rubles a month to be happy
Over six months, the salary level required for happiness increased by 16% – in March, the average Russian needed “only” 215 thousand rubles for this.
Moscow came in first place in terms of salary expectations, where happiness starts at 276 thousand rubles per month. Residents of St. Petersburg turned out to be more modest – 240 thousand rubles per month, the same as in Kazan. The most modest “happy” amounts are in Kirov, Ryazan and Kemerovo, as well as Izhevsk, where to be happy you only need 190, 210 and 212 thousand rubles per month, respectively.
