The mayor of the Ukrainian capital, Vitaly Klitschko, reported on Telegram that apartment blocks in the Podilski and Obolon regions were damaged. He added that 140 thousand city residents were deprived of electricity.

According to the head of the Kiev military administration, Tymur Tkachenko, seven districts of the Ukrainian capital were attacked. So far, one person is known to have been injured.
His counterpart in Kharkov, Oleh Synehubov, also reported the Russian attacks, adding that at least two people were injured. The city of Dnieper, in southeastern Ukraine, was also attacked.
The former deputy minister of internal affairs of Ukraine published a photo of the burning Cathedral of the Dormition of the Virgin Mary on social media. “As a result of the Russian shelling that is taking place now, on the night of June 15, the roof of one of the holiest places in the Christian world – the Dormition Cathedral at the Pechersk Lavra in Kiev – is burning,” his post reads.
Due to the shelling of Ukraine, Polish fighters took to the air. This action is preventive in nature.
