The Iranians want the minister to resign. “Death to the Shameful Aragchi”

“Death to the shameful Aragchi, the foreign agent,” chanted women in black chadors, waving Iranian and red and black flags. Their protest was a reaction to Aragchi's outline of a possible agreement with the United States to end the war in the Middle East presented on Iranian television on Friday, AFP reports.
Agreement on the horizon
US President Donald Trump and a Pakistani mediator said on Saturday that the signing of an agreement ending the war in the Middle East was scheduled for Sunday, a date not yet confirmed by Tehran, whose diplomats did not rule out an agreement in the “coming days”, but not on Sunday.
The possibility of such a solution aroused opposition from Iran's conservative leaders, who were reluctant to make concessions, especially regarding control over the strategic Strait of Hormuz, which had been effectively blocked by the Islamic Republic since the beginning of hostilities.
On Saturday, the conservative daily Kayhan said Iran must maintain control of the strait, “the enemy's greatest weakness.”
