Serious incident in the premises of Slatina City Hall, where a woman from Vâlcea county hit an employee of the institution, caused destruction and assaulted one of the local policemen who intervened to calm the situation.

The incident took place on Thursday, June 11, at around 11:15 a.m., and started from a spontaneous conflict that broke out in the premises of the Slatina City Hall, after a 41-year-old woman from Mihăesti commune, Vâlcea county, was warned that she had parked her car in a prohibited place, right next to the historical monument in front of the institution.

Nervous, she got into an argument with an employee, a security guard in the public institution, ending up offending everyone. In a short time, things got out of control and the woman became violent and physical, hitting the employee with a stick she had in her hand and destroying several belongings around.
In these conditions, the help of the local police was requested, but the scandal continued even after their arrival, the woman continuing to show herself violently and assaulting one of the agents who intervened to calm the situation.

“Today, around 11:00 a.m., the headquarters of the Slatina City Hall was the scene of a serious incident, as a result of which an employee of the institution arrived at the hospital, and a local policeman was assaulted during the intervention.
A person from Mihăesti commune, Vâlcea county, reacted violently after it was pointed out that he parked in a prohibited area, right next to the historical monument in front of the institution. She forced her way into the building, physically assaulted the employee at the gate, caused destruction and threatened civil servants at work.
We make it clear that the person involved in this incident was not in the Slatina City Hall to solve any administrative problem and had not requested any support from the institution. It had no hearing scheduled, had not submitted any request and was not looking to resolve any situation related to the local administration. The person was looking for a certain person, with no connection to the Slatina City Hall, and his behavior was aggressive from the first moments of his presence in the institution.
Although our colleagues tried to handle the situation calmly and responsibly, the person's behavior became increasingly violent. The female security guard was hit repeatedly while trying to protect both the staff of the institution and the citizens in the building.
When the crews of the Slatina Local Police arrived, the person showed aggression, including towards the local policemen.
The Local Police requested the support of the Slatina Municipality Police and the Olt Ambulance Service to manage the situation.
The person was picked up by the competent authorities and transported for evaluation and specialized medical care.
