Who is Valeriu Nistor, the new name circulated for the position of deputy prime minister in Tomac's cabinet

Valeriu Nistor is the latest name circulated that he will be part of the Tomac Government. Political sources told HotNews that he is being considered for a post of deputy prime minister without portfolio for economy, finance and business.
Valeriu Nistor is general manager at Soltem Energy, a position he has held since January 2022, according to the information published on his LinkedIn profile.
Previously, he was the chairman of AmCham, a global, independent and non-profit network of business associations.
For two years and four months, between September 2019 and December 2021, he was a partner of Soar Business & Management Consulting. During that time, he lived in Vienna.
Valeriu Nistor also held the position of director of Vodafone Romania for four years.
From January 2013 to March 2015, Nistor was regional general manager at IBM, the American technology company.
Another presidential adviser, Radu Burnete, who the press reported will be the deputy prime minister for economic issues in the potential Cabinet headed by Eugen Tomac, announced on Wednesday evening that his nomination is “press speculation” and that he will remain in his position at the Cotroceni Palace.
