DMTEL has published the results of a large-scale study* of the quality of mobile radiotelephone services in the Krasnoyarsk Territory.
Drive tests were carried out from April 15 to May 13, 2026 on a route with a total length of about 5,466 km, covering 18 settlements, including Krasnoyarsk, Achinsk, Minusinsk, as well as roads between them.
Based on the results of a comprehensive assessment, including analysis of voice communications, mobile Internet and LTE radio coverage, the T2 operator took first place in the ranking. The company demonstrated the best integral indicators for each of the parameters.
The second position was taken by Beeline, the third by MTS. MegaFon closes the ranking.
Study findings:
Mobile Internet: T2 is a confident leader in all location categories. In Krasnoyarsk, the average T2 download speed is almost 60 Mbit/s. In the cities of the region it is even higher – 67.58 Mbit/s. On the highways – 41.68. (for example: hTo watch Full HD video, 10 Mbit/s is enough. For 4K you need up to 35 Mbit/s, approx. ed.).
Voice communication: T2 took first place in the overall assessment of voice quality in the Krasnoyarsk Territory. The operator’s strongest results are in the cities of the region. Minimum percentage of dropped calls, minimum interruptions, high speech quality – T2 is the leader in all these parameters. In Krasnoyarsk and on T2 roads it is in second position, slightly behind MTS and Beeline, respectively.
LTE radio coverage: T2 is the leader in radio coverage in the Krasnoyarsk Territory. The result is especially indicative in Krasnoyarsk: along the entire testing route, the signal in the T2 network never fell below the threshold value. In other settlements along the testing route, T2 also has first place. On country roads, T2 is in second position, slightly behind MegaFon.
Commenting on the results of the study, the director of the Krasnoyarsk branch of T2, Yuri Kamalov, noted that over the past two years, thanks to the development of the network, the operator has increased the data download speed in the Krasnoyarsk Territory by 43%. In Krasnoyarsk the growth was even more significant – by 47%.
“T2 carried out refarming (redistribution of frequency resources in favor of the 4G standard instead of the outdated 3G) in all settlements of the Krasnoyarsk Territory with a population of 9 thousand or more people. The modernization gave approximately +30% to the speed, and in some places even higher. The operator also installed additional base stations where there was already coverage, but Internet traffic was actively growing. Over the past two years, the operator has increased the number of base stations in the region by 5%,” explained Yuri Kamalov.
*The study was conducted using the Nemo software and hardware complex and Sony Xperia 1 III smartphones. Speech quality assessment was performed using the POLQA v3 algorithm. Four operators took part in the testing: VimpelCom PJSC (Beeline), MTS PJSC, MegaFon PJSC and T2 Mobile LLC.
