Important news about the new Dinamo stadium! The head of the CNI included it on the list of state priority investments for 2026

Moreover, the management of the institution announced that for the year 2026 the priority is to ensure the continuity of the investments already started and to maintain a constant pace of the works, an aspect that directly affects the project of the new arena in “Ștefan cel Mare”.

Arena Dinamo, officially included among the priority projects of the CNI

In the interview given to Agenda Construcțiilor magazine, the head of the National Investment Company presented the main objectives underway at the national level, and the Dinamo stadium was found on the list of investments considered as a reference.

“In the field of sports, the creation of multipurpose halls is targeted […]but also the development of reference stadiums, such as […] Dinamo Multifunctional Arena.”

The statement comes in an important context for the Dynamo project, given that CNI currently administers approximately 1,000 objectives in various stages of implementation, from sports and medical infrastructure to investments in education, culture and road infrastructure.

According to the official, the strategy for the next period is clear: prioritizing projects already underway and accelerating their completion.

Budget of 2.5 billion lei for ongoing investments

The management of the CNI stated that for the year 2026 the sum of 2.5 billion lei is allocated through the National Program for Constructions of Public or Social Interest.

The institution's priority is to maintain a stable pace of work and ensure the continuity of investments already started.

The main strategic directions of the company are also mentioned in the interview: the digitization of internal processes, the improvement of the monitoring of construction sites and the priority completion of projects in advanced stages of execution.

At the same time, officials admit that there are also important challenges in the implementation of large investments, from changes in technical documentation and approval issues to coordination between institutions and the volatility of the construction market.

What stage is the stadium in?

Currently, for the new “Dinamo” stadium, the financier is analyzing the technical solutions and financial parameters related to the modification and completion of the Technical Documentation for Construction Authorization (DTAC).

• The analysis covers three essential components of the project:

• Construction of the Dinamo Multifunctional Sports Arena;

• Construction of the concrete technical channel for the relocation of the heating network;

• Construction of the tower intended for the heliport that will serve the Floreasca Emergency Hospital.

After the completion of this stage and the approval of the documentation, the project will be able to enter the actual execution phase.

The builder is waiting for the order to start work

The contract for the new Dinamo stadium was won by the association of builders led by Bog'Art, a company that is consistently among the most important construction companies in Romania.

According to the available information, the builder is prepared to mobilize large numbers as soon as he receives the official order to start the works.

At the time of signing the contract, on April 16, 2025, Bog'Art representatives estimated that the arena would be completed in 2027. However, delays caused by technical and administrative procedures pushed the inauguration deadline.

At the moment, the most realistic estimates indicate the year 2028 for the completion of the stadium, given that the duration of execution is approximately 25 months.

The new Dinamo stadium should be ready in 2028

The new stadium will have a capacity of approximately 25,000 seats and will include modern facilities for both sporting activity and spectators.

The project provides four changing rooms, two warm-up rooms, areas dedicated to the technical staff and officials, spaces for the press, facilities for the disabled, 12 skybox type boxes, a hospitality lounge of over 400 square meters, restaurant, private boxes and a VIP parking lot with approximately 200 spaces.

Also, the complex will include training areas, a sports recovery center, accommodation spaces and a heliport that will serve the Floreasca Emergency Clinical Hospital.
