University Cluj Faces Controversial Draw Against Rapid After Goalkeeping Error

In a thrilling match that capped off the 11th round of the Superliga, University Cluj and Rapid battled to a dramatic 3-3 draw. The game featured a significant error by Bogdan Ungureanu, Rapid’s makeshift goalkeeper, who stepped in for the injured Marian Aioani.
The match started with Issouf Macalou scoring for U Cluj in the second minute, before Filip Stojilkovic’s brace and a goal from Mohammed Kamara put Rapid ahead 3-1. However, U Cluj’s Drammeh pulled one back in the 54th minute, setting the stage for a tense finish.
In the 81st minute, after a corner, Dorin Codrea leveled the score with a powerful header, marking his first goal of the season.
Analysis of the Goalkeeping Error
Ungeru’s mistake came when he mishandled a routine throw-out intended for Dina Grameni. Drammeh intercepted the pass, setting up Jovo Lukic for a spectacular lob that seemed destined to sail over the goal but instead dropped into the net, bringing the score to 3-2.
This error proved crucial as U Cluj managed to equalize shortly after, securing a point in a match filled with tension and excitement.
