Primark has opened its fifth store in Romania at ElectroPutere Mall in Craiova, following an investment of over 10 million euros, the company informs in a press release. The mayor of Craiova, Olguța Vasilescu, also participated in the event.

The store in Craiova has a sales area of ​​3,185 square meters, spread over a single level and involves 100 jobs.

The inauguration in Craiova is part of a wider expansion strategy, through which Primark doubles its presence in Romania this year. The company also confirmed today the plans to open the third store in Bucharest, at Sun Plaza mall, in the next financial year (September 2026 – September 2027), thus reaching a total of nine stores in Romania.

“Our expansion in Romania is far from over. After the opening of stores in Iași, Sibiu and Bacău scheduled until the end of 2026, we confirm plans for a third store in Bucharest, at Sun Plaza, which will be opened in the next financial year. This investment will bring Primark to nine stores nationwide and will further strengthen our presence in the capital”, said Maciej Podwojski, ECE Director, Primark.

The event was also attended by Lia Olguța Vasilescu, the mayoress of Craiova, who came dressed in a rarer color, the one that also belongs to the store chain, turquoise.
