Almost half of Russian companies called back former employees

Almost half of Russian companies have offered former employees to return to work over the past year. This was reported by the SuperJob research center.

According to the survey, 48% of employers made such offers. A year earlier, this figure was 32%. However, it is not always possible to get employees back. Among companies that invited former workers back, only 14% reported that all invitees returned. 67% of organizations returned several people, and 19% of employers were unable to attract anyone back.

Russians themselves are also often faced with such proposals. 52% of economically active citizens have ever offered to return to their previous place of work. Of these, 15% agreed and 37% refused. Women are called back slightly more often than men, but they are more likely to refuse. Young employees receive such offers more often than employees over 45, but young people are less likely to agree to return.

The main reason for returning to the previous place of work was a decent salary. It was named by 24% of respondents. Employees also returned because of a good team, improved working conditions, convenient schedule, new position or promotion. Those who refused to return most often explained this by low wages, unsuitable working conditions, or a principled position not to return to their old place.

Currently, 26% of Russians are ready to consider an offer to return to their former employer. The main condition for the majority would be an increase in wages. This option was chosen by 48% of respondents.
