On June 8, members of the United Russia party congratulated social service workers on their professional holiday as part of the party event “Day with a Social Worker”
Deputies of the regional parliament of United Russia, together with social workers who provide services to people at home, took part in rounds of wards and provided targeted assistance in resolving everyday issues.
Chairman of the Committee on Health and Social Policy of the Legislative Assembly of the Krasnoyarsk Territory, regional coordinator of the party project “Healthy Future” Ilya Zaitsev visited 87-year-old Evgenia Vinogradova. The deputy inquired about the pensioner’s well-being, her living conditions and the quality of social services provided. The regional parliamentarian took control over the resolution of some issues. He also congratulated Irina Li, an employee of the Sverdlovsky integrated social service center for the population, who is helping the woman.
“There are basic things that will move from one people’s program to another, because these are the principles by which the party works and exists. The theme “Caring for everyone in need” is really important and is one of the key ones. Just imagine: there are 15 thousand people in the social policy system of our region. This is extremely difficult work. It is important for a social worker to find a common language with his clients; for many of these recipients, he is the only light in the window!”, noted Ilya Zaitsev following the visit.
Irina Li spoke about the work of social services: “The profession of a social worker is to help older people and those who cannot help themselves. Some need to bring groceries, some need to fill prescriptions, some need to apply for some benefits. There are a lot of tasks, especially with bedridden patients, there is a special approach. But working with people is so interesting: you get used to your charges, they are already like family! We congratulate each other on the holidays, we know all our loved ones. It happens that a social worker becomes a member of the family. I’m quite satisfied with my work!”
The Minister of Social Policy of the Krasnoyarsk Territory, a participant in the preliminary voting of United Russia, Irina Pastukhova, visited SVO participant Alexander Bogaev, discussed with him issues of medical rehabilitation, and also congratulated nursing assistant Alfiya Bogaeva.
“Today we are not just taking part in the all-Russian action of the United Russia party. We immerse ourselves in the reality of those who need our support, and in the everyday life of those who provide daily assistance to people with special needs. And it is no coincidence that today we came to a combat veteran – the participants of the North Military District and their loved ones are in the area of special attention from all regional departments. We are here to hear, understand and help,” shared Irina Pastukhova.
Deputy of the Legislative Assembly of the region Elena Penzina congratulated Marina Grokhotova, who takes care of the widow of a participant in the Great Patriotic War, Khaya Surovtseva. The woman is now preparing for a planned outpatient examination with an audiologist and an ophthalmologist, so she needs support.
“In my opinion, those who go to work in social services today are not there for the money. It is necessary to have important human qualities: mercy, patience, the ability to understand and empathize. Interacting with social workers, you realize what kind and compassionate people they are! I would like to wish them to have love, happiness and, of course, health in their lives!” noted Elena Penzina.
The most important direction of the people's program – “Caring for everyone in need” – is aimed at caring for people facing difficult life circumstances, increasing the accessibility and efficiency of providing social assistance, developing a system of long-term care at home and in boarding schools, improving active aging programs, and modernizing social assistance institutions. The section devoted to the development of the social assistance system will become one of the key ones in the new people's program.
