The agenda of the Council of Ministers shows that the cabinet will consider the amount of the minimum wage and the minimum hourly rate in force in 2027. At the same time, a project regarding the indexation of pensions and disability pensions in the same year will be discussed. By June 15, the government must submit its proposal regarding the minimum wage and minimum hourly rate to the Social Dialogue Council.
The Ministry of Labor informed the Polish Press Agency last week that it would recommend it to the cabinet setting the minimum salary at PLN 4,986a hourly rate of PLN 32.60. – This means an increase of PLN 180 (3.7%) and PLN 1.20 (3.8%), respectively – the ministry said. Compared to the current rates, where the minimum wage is PLN 4,806 gross and the hourly rate is PLN 31.40 gross, this means a moderate increase.

The Ministry of Family, Labor and Social Policy (MRPiPS) emphasized that the amount of PLN 4,986 corresponds to half of the forecast average salary in 2027, which is expected to reach PLN 9,971. Maintaining this proportion is one of the key assumptions for the ministry when determining the minimum national level.

Parties representing employees, employers and the government have 30 days to develop a common position. If there is no consensus in the RDS, the decision is made by the government by way of a regulation, which must also be published by the same date – but then in the Journal of Laws.
