In two years, what you do on your computer will do faster and cheaper. What is Agi?

The automation scale increases exponentially. According to World Economic Forum 40 percent By 2030, companies are planned to reduce employment in areas where tasks can be automated, while creating 170 million new jobs around digital technologies.
Dario Amodei, the head of Anthropic, a company behind the development of the rival Chatgpt, or Claude, warns that If organizations do not prepare in advance, unemployment in developed countries may reach 20 percent. What to do not to lose your job for artificial intelligence?

Employees have reasonable fears
Employees' fears are justified. If any software is able to do the same as I do, but it will do it not a little, but much cheaper and faster, it Why should a company keep me full -time? Business always strives to raise productivity and reduce costs. So if a company can clearly reduce costs by maintaining the same or even a higher level of productivity, why shouldn't it do it?
So among the employees appears fear of losing their profession, especially in basic analytical, administrative and creative roles. The McKinsey report estimates that AI generative can take over 60-70 percent. working time in professions consisting mainly in information processing. However, no one says that people who give their tasks to algorithms will lose their jobs. Usually, there is an argument that they will be delegated to “more demanding” tasks, but all you have to do is demonstrate a bit of skepticism to come to the conclusion that these are rather hopes and wishes, not promises and guarantees.
The risk is not evenly distributed. People without digital competences, with lower education or working in less computerized regions are exposed even more. There are pressure of continuous learning, uncertainty related to the work model human-in-the-loop and ethical issues – Who is responsible for the error of the algorithm and on what data he was trained.
In turn, enterprises, especially SMEs, face two parallel crises: a shortage of talents capable of building and supervising AI systems and a growing regulatory risk. EU AI Act entered into force in August 2024, a Obligations regarding general purpose systems will be valid in 2025, while for high -risk systems – in 2027.
Companies that do not implement risk assessment and transparency procedures will be exposed to penalties calculated as global turnover. At the same time, cheaper AI models enter the market, which increases the temptation of quick implementation without a plan to Upskilling of people and thoughtful data management.

How to prepare as an employee
It will become necessary The ability to combine AI tools with typically human competences. WEF emphasizes that in addition to technical skills, the demand for flexible thinking, creativity, emotional intelligence and the ability to work in multicultural teams is growing the fastest. This is why:
- You need to systematically train “digital bilingualism” – in parallel to learn the basics of date science, prompt of engineering and project management based on AI and deepen industry expertise
- It is worth building a profile T-shaped – wide insight into automation tools plus a deep domain specialization (e.g. pharmaceutical law, ethics of algorithms in finance or UX psychology)
- You should treat your own data portfolio and models as an extension of the CV – be able to show how thanks to AI the time of the implementation of tasks or how the precision of analysis improves
- Develop non -illegal competences by models – negotiations, mentoring, physical work in a unstructured environment, conducting field research, therapeutic work, etc.
- Build mental immunity – learn quickly career reconfiguration, plan finances in terms of training breaks and actively use microcertifications, training grants or individual training accounts (instrument recommended by OECD as increasing employee flexibility)
All these recommendations can also be understood in such a way that in the future – in a few years – it is very possible that you will keep your job if you agree to earn the same salary, but in exchange for three times more effects, because you will simply do more at the same time of work. It doesn't sound encouraging, but think about it: People who switched from a keyboard writing machine probably had similar thinking.
Already, if you work at the computer, you probably feel that in the last five years you have a lot of new tasks and responsibilities, your productivity has improved, but the pay has not necessarily increased at this pace. Artificial intelligence is a bit like a keyboard replacing the typewriter, with the difference that this keyboard can write by itself, only under your supervision. Your strengths will remain experience, knowledge, knowledge of a specific industry and constant expansion of competences – support for new tools, working methods, etc. Knowledge (contacts) will also not be insignificant.

How to prepare an organization
The most effective companies today make a three -level transformation. First, they map all activities in operational processes and value the benefits of automation, taking into account the costs of retraining staff. Then They create internal AI competence centers that connect IT, HR, Compliance and Business Division. Finally, they rebuild structures, moving people from routine tasks to creative and customer -oriented works. McKinsey notes that Organizations distinguished as “high-performers” invest in Upskilling AI three times more than the average And in parallel, they introduce ethical frames and risk records.
In a European context, it is necessary to build a path of compliance with AI ACT. It is necessary to identify high -risk systems, implementation of data registers, impact assessment procedures and human supervision mechanisms. The Union also encourages companies to voluntarily accept the Practice Code before the final regulatory terms.
What about people whose work will disappear? WEF and OECD reports predict that Until 2030, as much as 20 percent The tasks will be outdated, but at the same time new roles will be created: model trainer, ethical analyst, architect of human cooperation processes, or Explainability Writer explaining the operation of lay algorithms.
He is to gain cooperation with the public sector: subsidized training holidays, tax breaks for lifelong learning, and in some countries – pilotes of basic income. Poland is considering a list of professions protected against full automationbut the experience of Nordic countries show that the policy of open skill transfers is more effective than rigid regulatory barriers.
Perspective 2025–2027
By 2027, companies that do not manage to define business models again may fall out of supply chains, because the partners will require a responsible and efficient automation proof. Certificates of compliance with AI ACT will become an admission ticket to public tenders and large corporate ecosystems. In turn, employees who will already include AI in their daily habits and will document their micro projects can gain a profit bonus (McKinsey estimates it at 25-30 percent depending on the industry). This bonus is – it is worth noting – rather the possibility of performing additional orders as a freelancer or contractor B2B, because we will have time for this, and not a raise at the main and only employer.
Will Agi take away the job? He will definitely transform it into a dynamic ecosystem, where it counts learning speed, ethical use of data and the ability to cooperate with technological systemswhich have more and more autonomy. Therefore, the best defense strategy – both for individuals and organization – is an offensive approach: investment in competence and partnership with technology.
An employee who can design the flow of tasks among themselves and the AI model becomes more difficult to replace than an algorithm working in insulation, and a company that recognizes people as complementary capital, not a cost, uses the full advantage of the first traffic in the new Aga economy. The simplest recommendation for now: it is worth starting now to use not only chatgpt and similar applications, but to build your own automation and AI agents. Even if your employer underestimates it or not notice, you will gain valuable competences that will be useful elsewhere. One thing is certain: it will not be lost time.
