The “Friendship” pipeline damaged after the attack. Deliveries suspended
Slovakia has not received supplies of Russian oil running through Ukraine since the end of January. The “Friendship” pipeline was damaged during Russian airstrikes, but according to Fico, the pumping station in Brody, Ukraine, has already been repaired. The Slovak Prime Minister believes that the decision to suspend the transmission is of a political nature and was made by the President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelensky.
According to Fico, Zelensky does not appreciate Slovakia's peaceful position and its neutrality towards the conflict. The prime minister accused the Ukrainian president of “malicious” actions against Bratislava.
“First, it stopped gas supplies to Slovakia, causing losses of EUR 500 million a year. Now it has suspended oil deliveries, which leads to further losses and logistical problems“- he said.
