Two new fetal monitors for cardiotocography have appeared in Krasnoyarsk Interdistrict Maternity Hospital No. 4. This was reported by the Ministry of Health of the Krasnoyarsk Territory.
The equipment was delivered to the antenatal fetal care department. Cardiotocography is used during pregnancy to record the fetal heartbeat. Such a study helps the doctor assess the condition of the unborn child and promptly suspect possible disorders, including hypoxia.
New fetal monitors conduct computer analysis of the data obtained. This allows you to identify deviations at an early stage and take the necessary measures in a timely manner. The devices are equipped with a large modern screen and high-sensitivity wireless sensors. Thanks to this, patients can feel more relaxed during the examination. If necessary, a woman can change her body position or walk around the office.
Equipment with a total cost of about 2.4 million rubles was purchased using the funds from birth certificates. The medical institution receives these federal funds for providing assistance to women during pregnancy, childbirth and the postpartum period.
“New equipment is another step towards ensuring maximum safety and health for every mother and her baby,” said Alena Sbrodova, head of the antenatal fetal care department.
The Ministry of Health noted that maternity hospital No. 4 allocated funds to improve the quality of medical care for women as part of the “Family” national project.
