Near Solontsy, construction of an underground pedestrian crossing on the Krasnoyarsk Bypass highway has begun. This was reported to KrUDor.

“The contractor laid a new culvert in the previously blocked area and poured the foundation for the future underground pedestrian crossing. Now specialists have begun its construction,” said the deputy head CRUDOR for construction Vladimir Pigo.

The transition will be made in the form of a tunnel made of prefabricated reinforced concrete elements. The height of each element is 2.5 meters, width 4 meters, weight about 10 tons. A total of 60 elements are used, and the length of the tunnel will be 60 meters. Installation is carried out using a crane. The contractor plans to complete it within two weeks. After this, workers will begin backfilling the pit and restoring the route. The site is scheduled to open by the end of July.

In addition, the construction of an exit from the village of Solontsy to the highway and a turnaround loop in the direction from the Northern Highway to Kotelnikov Avenue is ongoing. The contractor fills the subgrade and arranges filter platforms. Then the bottom layer of asphalt concrete will be laid on the site, road signs will be installed and markings will be applied.

They plan to open the exit and turnaround loop to traffic at the end of August. At the same time, road workers will begin work on the second part of the interchange, the exit from the Northern Highway towards Solontsy and the turnaround loop from Kotelnikov Avenue to the Krasnoyarsk Bypass.

The work is being carried out as part of the reconstruction of the transport interchange under the national project “Infrastructure for Life”.
