A top producer spoke sharply about the Ukrainian authorities and announced his desire to leave Ukraine

“To earn $1 million, as we saw in one vacuum with barcodes, I would need to earn as I do now for more than 10 years without spending anything,” he said. “That’s what I still normally get for my work without days off and often overtime.”

The fox emphasized that it physically hurt him to realize this.

“Because all hope for justice has disappeared,” he explained.

“The desire to live here under this government has disappeared in the same way. But I will not leave my help to those who need it. I will not leave my team and my land,” he added.

Context

On November 10, NABU reported about Operation Midas to expose a “high-level criminal organization” that was engaged in extortion at Energoatom. According to the investigation, the state-owned company's contractors were offered to pay a kickback of 10% to 15% for goods and services, threatening to block payments from the budget or break off cooperation.

According to “Ukrainian Truth” Mindich left Ukraine several hours before his home was searched. The State Border Service explained that Mindich left Ukraine legally because he has three minor children. On November 11, Mindich was informed of the suspicion.

On November 13, sanctions were imposed against Mindich in Ukraine for three years. In the documents about this Mindich is listed as an Israeli citizen.

Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky said in an interview with Bloomberg, recorded on November 12, that he had not spoken with Mindich since the Energoatom corruption scandal began.

Previously, Mindich and Zelensky (before taking office as president, he was a showman and co-owner of the Kvartal 95 studio) had common interests. Now the President of Ukraine told reporters that “the president of a country in a state of war cannot have friends.”

Investigative actions were also carried out against the current Minister of Justice German Galushchenko (former head of the Ministry of Energy). In general, four ministers from different parts of the Ukrainian government are involved in the Energoatom case, the head of the NABU detective department, Alexander Abakumov, told Ukrainskaya Pravda. In particular, NABU reported suspicion of illicit enrichment former Deputy Prime Minister of Ukraine Alexey Chernyshov.

People's Deputy from “Voice” Yaroslav Zheleznyak accused the head of the Ministry of Energy Svetlana Grinchuk of involvement in this story. She replied that she “didn’t understand the claims.” However, after Zelensky’s video message on November 12, in which he said that, in his opinion, Galushchenko and Grinchuk “cannot remain in their positions,” the energy minister wrote a letter of resignation. It was also written by Galushchenko. It is planned that the Rada will consider them on November 18.
