The Ministry of Energy wants to extend the deadline for providing electricity sellers with information from micro, small and medium-sized enterprises on the value of aid granted to them in connection with the application of the maximum electricity price in the second half of 2024 to the end of June 2026, according to the entry of the Ministry of Energy in the government's work list.

“The purpose of the proposed regulation is to extend the deadline for providing electricity sellers with information from entrepreneurs from the micro, small and medium-sized enterprises sector about the value of aid granted to them in connection with the application in the second half of 2024 of the maximum price for electricity in settlements with eligible customers connected to the distribution or transmission network and being micro, small or medium-sized enterprises (SMEs),” wrote the Ministry of Energy.

He added that this is necessary due to the need to provide entrepreneurs from the micro, small and medium-sized enterprises sector who were unable to meet the original deadlines for the implementation of this obligation to submit information regarding the aid granted to them.

The deadline is to be extended again from June 30, 2025.

“A regulation is proposed to extend the deadline in question until June 30, 2026, which should ensure adequate opportunity to submit the required information,” the Ministry of Finance said.

He added that as a consequence of such a change, it is also necessary to adjust the deadline for settling compensation for energy sellers by the Settlement Administrator.

“After introducing the planned changes, it will also be necessary to extend the deadline for the Settlement Manager SA to submit a collective settlement of funds to the Minister of Energy and to transfer unused funds to the COVID-19 Countermeasure Fund,” it was written. (PAP Business)
