A recreation park near Krasnoyarsk will be punished for ticks

June 5 8:55
A resident of Krasnoyarsk complained to Rospotrebnadzor about one of the active recreation parks in the village of Ust-Mana. The woman spent one April day there with her child, and at home she discovered a tick attached to her.
According to the victim, there were information signs in the park stating that it was treated for arthropods, so she was confident that visiting the place was safe.
Specialists from Rospotrebnadzor found out that acaricidal treatment in the park was carried out only at the beginning of May – weather conditions previously did not allow it. “The area was therefore unsafe to visit in April. During the sanitary and epidemiological investigation, violations of legal requirements were identified, including exceeding the safe number of ticks. In relation to IP Kuzmina R.A. a case of administrative offense has been initiated, the entrepreneur faces a fine. In addition, an order was issued to re-carry out acaricidal treatment with monitoring of its effectiveness,” the department said.
