“He hit with his palms and fists” » The police clarified what happened during the conflict between Sabrina Voinea and her boyfriend

Everything would have happened in the premises of the “Lia Manoliu” Sports Complex in Bucharest, as a result of a “spontaneous conflict”, as specified by the competent bodies.

In the statement issued by the Police, Sabrina Voinea allegedly hit her boyfriend with “palms and fists at the level of the upper limbs”.

On June 3, 2026, police officers from the General Directorate of Police of the Municipality of Bucharest – Police Section 9 were alerted, by complaint, by a 19-year-old young man, regarding the fact that, while he was in the premises of a sports complex in Sector 2, he was allegedly physically assaulted by a 19-year-old young woman.

In fact, amid a spontaneous conflict, the young woman would have physically assaulted the person in question, in the sense that she would have hit her with her palms and fists in the upper limbs.

The injured person was informed of the provisions of Law no. 26/2024, respectively the possibility of issuing an extended protection order, but it refused to take such a measure.

The investigations are being continued by the policemen from the 9th Police Department to establish the factual situation and the disposition of the necessary legal measures.

Before the Police statement, Romanian Gymnastics Federationthrough the voice of the president Ioan Suciu, vehemently condemned the athlete's behavior and announced that the forum he leads will carefully monitor the investigation.

“We do not tolerate such behavior that goes against the values ​​of sport and the principles of respect that we promote. We understand that complaints have been made to the competent authorities and we are waiting for more details. Currently, Sabrina Voinea is under contract with CSM Constanța and is training in the gym at Lia Manoliu, with the agreement of ANS”, explained Suciu.

It is not the first time that Sabrina Voinea is in the middle of such a scandal

This new violent episode is not a first for Sabrina Voinea. Just two months ago, at the end of March, the athlete was the protagonist of another scandal of great proportions right in the restaurant of the “Lia Manoliu” complex.
