About an hour after the victory over CSM Oradea which secured the 6th consecutive national title, the players, coaches and technical staff of U-BT Cluj-Napoca left the BTarena to the applause of the fans and went to the bank of the Someș for the “traditional” bath.

Immediately after the awards ceremony, fans filled both banks of the Someș and even the Garibaldi bridge, patiently waiting for their favorites. They created a corridor from the BTarena to the Someșului esplanade and prepared with flags, scarves and the shirts of their favorite players.

A few children watched closely what was happening in the U-BT locker room area and started shouting with joy when they saw the players getting ready to go out. The first was Mihai Silvășan, the head coach of Cluj, who since 2011 has participated in all the celebratory baths of the black and white team.

U-BT Cluj-Napoca celebrated its sixth title with the “traditional” bath in Someș

The Romanian champions no longer took into account traffic lights and traffic, but walked relaxed on the two pedestrian crossings that are between the BTarena and the banks of the Someș. They took countless breaks to take pictures with their supporters or sign autographs.

Hundreds of Cluj fans were waiting for them, from the youngest to the oldest. The first player to enter the water was Mitch Creek, U-BT's eccentric Aussie with NBA experience.

Fortunately for the health of the players and coaches, the water was extremely shallow, being slightly above the ankles. The fans began to shout and sing for joy, while the athletes seemed to enjoy this unique experience.

Silvășan was braver and dived into the water, while Winny, the panda bear who is the mascot of the black and white team, did not make an exception and also jumped into Someș. The fans' torches lit up the two banks and thus began the celebration of Cluj for the 6th consecutive title.

After 10-15 minutes, the Romanian champions came out of the water and were accompanied by applause and requests for pictures and autographs until they returned to BTarena.
