Digi Romania receives a 196 million euro contract through the SAFE program. What will the money be spent on?

The Romanian government announced on Tuesday, June 2, that it has awarded the Digi Romania group a contract of 196 million euros, within the SAFE program.

Digi Romania will realize in Romania, within the SAFE package, a “LLM-type integrated platform”.
The contract has a value of 196 million euros and appears in the Romanian Government's list of the implementation status of the SAFE program.
“The development of an integrated LLM platform for cyber security for a value of 196,000,000 Euros, concluded with Digi Romania SA, the realization being entirely in Romania”it is stated in the Government's press release.
LLM is the name used internationally for artificial intelligence platforms such as Chat GPT, Gemini or Claude.
According to the spokesperson of the Government, Ioana Ene Dogioiu, it is about a contract signed at the level of the Romanian Intelligence Service.
The implementation of the national SAFE Plan continues according to the assumed stages, and the allocation of 16.68 billion euros remains fully available, the Government announced on Tuesday, May 2. “Romania “does not lose funds nor access to the financial allocation approved by the SAFE tool as a result of the evolution of single purchases”, as to “circulated in public space”stated the Executive.
