A sea mine was discovered between Vama Veche and 2 Mai. Military divers detonated it

On Wednesday, June 3, at 5:40 p.m., the Romanian Naval Forces neutralized a YaRM (anti-landing) type marine mine, discovered on the beach between the towns of Vama Veche and 2 Mai. The object was reported by a call to the emergency number 112 around 14.45.

A marine mine that was discovered, Wednesday afternoon, on the beach between Vama Veche and 2 Mai, being neutralized by military divers.
“EOD military divers, specialized in the fight against explosive devices, went on Wednesday to the place indicated by the representatives of the “Dobrogea” Emergency Situations Inspectorate, who implemented the specific procedures for securing the area and destroying the mine”, according to MApN.
Since the beginning of the war in Ukraine, the Romanian Naval Forces have neutralized nine of the 156 sea mines discovered in the Black Sea basin.
