A rare langur with red fur was born at the Novosibirsk Zoo

A baby smoky spectacled langur was born at the Novosibirsk Zoo named after R. A. Shilo. As Om1 Novosibirsk writes with reference to the zoo's press service, the baby is distinguished by its bright fiery red color.
Now the cub is completely different from the adults. His parents have silver-brown fur. The smoky spectacled langur is a rare primate. In nature, such animals live in the forests of Southeast Asia.

The zoo noted that the birth of the cub was part of the ongoing “baby boom.” Employees consider the birth of the langur an important event for the conservation of rare animal species.
