In Irkutsk, a resident of the Krasnoyarsk Territory was convicted of illegally importing ampoules of a drug for building muscle mass.

IrkutskMedia news agency, citing the press service of the regional prosecutor's office, reports that in March 2025, a man purchased abroad several ampoules of testosterone, a drug banned in Russia to increase endurance and quickly recover after physical activity. He used part of it on the spot, and hid the remaining three ampoules with a total weight of more than 3.5 grams in his hand luggage.

In April of the same year, returning on an international flight from Thailand, he passed through the customs control zone at Irkutsk airport without declaring the drug. The illegal substance was later seized by police during a search of his apartment.

Law enforcement officers opened a criminal case against the violator for illegal import of the drug. At the trial, the man did not admit his guilt and asked for an acquittal. However, the executive body, having studied all the materials of the case, sentenced the attacker to 3 years of probation (3 years of probation) and a fine of 200 thousand rubles.

The verdict did not enter into legal force. The substance containing testosterone will be destroyed by court order.
