Ukrainian defense forces attacked the Ilsky oil refinery in the Krasnodar region of the aggressor country Russia. The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported this on June 2 in Telegram.
They indicated that as a result of the attack, a fire broke out on the territory of the plant. The extent of the damage caused is being determined.
On the night of June 2, residents of the Krasnodar Territory reported numerous explosions and fire.
The monitoring channel Supernova+ wrote that the Ilsky oil refinery was under attack.
“Ilsky Oil Refinery… For Kyiv,” wrote Supernova+.
The Russian publication Astra analyzed photographs of eyewitnesses with footage of the fire and came to the conclusion that the oil refinery was on fire.
This information was later confirmed by the regional operational headquarters. They said that the fire at the refinery was the result of a drone attack. According to preliminary data, there are no casualties.
According to Astra's calculations, today's attack on the Ilsky Oil Refinery is at least the 16th in the entire period of a full-scale war.
The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine also reported on the results of previous operations:
- after the strike by Ukrainian Neptune cruise missiles, which occurred on May 31 at the Novoshakhtinsky oil refinery in the Rostov region, the defeat of two primary oil refining units was confirmed;
- We also clarified the information on the Lazarevo LPDS in the Kirov region of the Russian Federation – two reservoirs and the buildings of the main pumping stations were damaged there;
- announced the defeat of the primary processing plant as a result of the attack on the Saratov oil refinery on May 31.
