In the village of Emelyanovo, parishioners opened a temporary church opposite the Church of the Holy Trinity, which is now being prepared for restoration. The residents themselves raised money for the new premises.

According to the rector of the Church of the Holy Trinity, Alexei Yazev, state funds were not allocated for the creation of a temporary parish. The space was prepared thanks to donations and help from parishioners. In the future, they plan to convert this room into a space for children. Now it is gradually being inhabited and filled with icons.

“Everything is not ready here yet; we have only recently moved to this temporary temple. I have a passion for collecting icons, we will gradually transform this space, fill the temporary temple,” said Alexey Yazev, rector of the Church of the Holy Trinity.

The Church of the Holy Trinity in Yemelyanovo is also known as the “White Swan”. This is one of the oldest stone churches in the Krasnoyarsk region. The church was founded at the end of the 18th century and consecrated in 1817. The temple is also associated with historical names. Over the years, it was visited by the writer Anton Chekhov and the future Emperor Nicholas II.

Earlier it became known that a restoration project was prepared for the temple in 2024, and a search for a contractor was announced in the spring of 2025. During the work, they plan to restore the lost elements of the building, including the bell tower, the temple five-domed structure, the porch porch and iconostases.
