The newspaper “Birobidzhan Star” (12+) wrote on June 1, 1935 that pop artists from Moscow and Leningrad gave two concerts (0+) in Birobidzhan. This team was warmly received by the audience. The theater artists proved themselves to be a coherent, friendly ensemble, distinguished by a high level of performance. Artistic reading artist V. Galina masterfully read A.P.’s story. The high culture of ballet art was demonstrated by ballet dancers Anna Mozgovaya and E. Tarakhovsky. Singer D. Olenin performed “Modern Lullaby” (0+) and the Jewish folk song “Dzhankoy” (0+).
The same newspaper published an announcement that the Birobidzhan district executive committee was being liquidated.
“On May 29, the presidium of the regional executive committee of Ev.A.O adopted a resolution in accordance with the decision of the presidium of the Far Eastern Regional Executive Committee of May 28 on the liquidation of the Birobidzhan regional executive committee from June 1. It was recognized as inappropriate to have a separate Birobidzhan regional executive committee if there is a City Council in the city of Birobidzhan.”

The Bureau of the Regional Committee of the All-Union Communist Party of Bolsheviks adopted a resolution “On the rise of virgin soil and the fallow campaign,” which defined measures to develop socialist competition among tractor drivers, increase labor productivity, and generalize and disseminate best practices.

The newspaper “Birobidzhan Star” wrote on its pages on June 1, 1947 that by order of the head of the Far Eastern Railway, a large group of railway workers of the Jewish Autonomous Region were awarded badges and bonuses. The “Drummer of the Stalin Call” badge was awarded to: electrician of the Obluchenskaya communication distance – Surchenko, track worker of the Inskaya track distance – Korotkikh, worker of the Inskaya housing repair office – Ibraev, head of the workshops of the Birobidzhan Railway Technical School – Albitov and many others.
The “Excellent Engine Worker” badge was awarded to the driver of the Birobidzhan-2 depot and the turner of the Obluchye depot, the “Excellent mover” badge was awarded to the switchman of the In station, the signalman of the Olgokhta station and the train compiler of the Obluchye station, the “Excellent Traveler” badge was awarded to the foreman of the Obluchenskaya track distance – Pinegin, the foreman of the Birobidzhan track distance – Dokukin, track worker Irradiation distance of the route – Izotov. The “Excellent Carriage Worker” badge was awarded to the mechanic of the Obluchensky carriage repair station – Fedoseev, the foreman of the Obluchensky carriage repair station – Nekrasov, and many were given cash prizes and thanks.

The same newspaper published report of the Birobidzhan group of writers in the Union of Soviet Writers of the USSR. The Union of Soviet Writers has a permanent commission for direct communication with regional writers' organizations. At a meeting of such a commission, B. Miller heard a report on the work of a group of writers in the Jewish Autonomous Region. The Birobidzhan group of Jewish writers includes seven prose writers and poets: B. Miller, I. Amyot, G. Rabinkov, B. Slutsky, S. Borges, L. Wasserman, I. Bronfman. The almanac “Birobidzhan” (0+) is published in Birobidzhan; in addition to literary work, Birobidzhan writers actively participate in the socio-political life of the region.

Khabarovsk writer V. Azhaev spoke about the active participation of Jewish writers of Birobidzhan in the activities of the regional writers' organization. A representative of the commission on national literature at the Union of Soviet Writers of the USSR emphasized the importance of the work of Birobidzhan Jewish writers.

The newspaper “Birobidzhan Star” wrote on its pages on June 1, 1957 that the first regional youth festival was opening in Birobidzhan.
At the youth festival (6+), groups from all regions of the region will perform. Among them: the amateur artistic team of the Birobidzhan garment factory; a choir, string and brass orchestras from the city of railway workers, workers of the Teploozersky cement plant will perform a Polish folk song, a Russian folk dance will be shown by the dance group of the railway club in Obluchye, a dance of the Zaporozhye Cossacks will be performed by the dance group of the Khinganolovo plant.
120 boys and girls will come from the Smidovichi district to the festival, who will open their program with a performance by the combined choir.
The festival will also host sports competitions.
